An open piazza that borders the water is dominated by a mast just to the right of center. In the foreground there is a group of figures, as well as in front of the buildings that form the perimeter of the square. In the distance is a pedestrian bridge as well as the masts of ships in the water.

The front (obverse) of this medal represents a portrait of a man in profile wearing a papal tiara and a cope. The reverse depicts a city square dominated by an obelisk with a pair of identical domed churches in the background. Inscriptions run around the edge of the medal on both sides.

A large building with an open square before it dominates the composition. The building has elaborate architectural elements and is clearly a public or official place and has an arched pediment, finials, pilasters, and extensive glazing. In the square before the building are groupings of figures.

A large crowd of men—almost all of whom wear top hats—women, and children congregate in an urban setting. In the left foreground a woman in a blue dress and an ornate hat passes the viewer. To her left a hobbled man holds a sign with a few legible words amongst squiggles; they read, "General / BOOTH / City Hall". Part of a bridled horse is seen at the extreme right side of the composition. Behind the crowd, whose clothing is heightened with an array of pastel watercolors, a colonnade is visible; at the left corner of the building the colonnade recedes backwards, and is mirrored by a row of receding street lamps. <br /> Inscribed on left, in image, in pen: "Royal Exchange Place" and below this, signed in pencil, "Muirhead Bone."

This small watercolor depicts a city square viewed through the arches of an arcade. A small group clusters next to one of the columns in the foreground, and a few other figures are scattered about the square along with a man leading a horse and cart.

This etching shows a view of the interior court of Kronborg Castle, in the town of Helsingor, Denmark. The viewer looks out from an upper level viewpoint at the roofs and upper stories. The building is drawn with great detail, all the carvings in the stone are pronounced. In the small area of the street seen below is a group of figures. The sky above the buildings and sea is dark grey and cloudy, as is the water. In the far distance another hilly shoreline is visible.
